Madiba Shuffle bronze maquette by Barry Jackson

Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela was a South African anti-apartheid activist and politician who served as the President of South Africa from 1994 to 1999. He was the country's first black head of state and the first elected in a fully representative democratic election. In this sculpture the artist portrays The great man in one of his more playful moods. Iin happy moments he would often preform a little dance move that delighted the public was to become known as the Mandela shuffle.
