Desmond Mpilo Tutu was a South African Anglican bishop and theologian, known for his work as an anti-apartheid and human rights activist. In this sculpture the artist portrays his lighter side. During happier times he was quick to raise his arms in delight or laughter or to jog up and down expressing a happy moment.
